Simple Basics to Start Scrapbooking
There are a few steps to scrapbooking easier and less stressful. These steps aren’t set in stone; they are just what I’ve done to make my scrapbooking much easier. The first part is to get your photos organized. Whether you have them in a photo album, a storage box or still on your camera or computer; start getting your photos in order. I’ve always put my pictures in chronological order for each album that I’m working on. That way when I’m working on an album, all the pictures are in order and ready to go so I can keep working on the album until I’m caught up.
The next is to make sure that you have the supplies that you will need to put your pages together. Supplies like adhesive, paper trimmer, pages and paper, an album, journaling pens and page protectors are just a few of the supplies that you will need and there are so many others that you will find you need or just want. I’ve found out myself that there’s nothing more stressful or disruptive then needing a particular tool and not having it, then having to stop and go buy one or having to change you page.
Once you have your photos and all the needed supplies make sure you have someplace to work. At first I just worked at my kitchen table, it worked fine but when it came time to having a meal I needed to clean the table so we could eat and not have anything get ruined. After a while I was able to get a permanent table in a room that wasn’t being used. I know that not everyone has the room or an extra table but even setting a card table in the corner of you living room may work for you.
Now just let your imagination go, scrapbook to your hearts content and take pride in your work. If you get stuck that are so many resources that can help you from books to magazines and many websites.
