Using Brads for Scrapbooking and Card Making
I love using brads for my scrapbook pages and for card making but when I first started using them, it didn’t turn out as planned. I’ve never seen any directions on how to use them, I thought you just stick them through your paper, flatten the ends and your done. I was so wrong, I did it the hard way and in the process I creased or ripped the paper. There’s a simple little step to do first that will make using brads easy and you won’t damage the paper. Some people may know this but for those who don’t – the first thing to do is pierce the paper with a piercing tool, the very tip of your scissors (be careful to make a very small hole with your scissors) or even a needle. This will create a hole for the brad to go into and keep the paper from creasing or tearing. After you create the hole just stick the brad in and flatten the back and your done.
